BAPTISM

Both parents and godparent are required to attend the Pre-Baptismal Seminar that is held on the first Tuesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. in the church hall.. We encourage both parents and godparents to attend the seminar before the birth of the child. Godparents must be practicing Catholics who have passed their 16th birthday, have been Confirmed, be married in the Catholic Church (if married), have an eligibility Certificate from their parish and bring the Eligibility Certificate to class. Baptisms are celebrated on the second & fourth Sunday of the month following the 11:30 a.m. Mass.

RITE OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION OF ADULTS (RCIA)

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is a comprehensive formation process into the full sacramental life of the Church. It is both education and spiritual, designed to develop the whole person into the Christian Faith. Who is it for?

  1. Those who are un-baptized and are seeking admittance into the Catholic Church.
  2. Those who are baptized into another Christian community and seek full communion in the Catholic Church.
  3. Those Catholics who did not receive the sacraments of Eucharist and/or Confirmation and desire full initiation into the Church.
  4. Those Catholics who had previously left the Church and now desire readmittance.
  5. Non-Catholics who are planning to, or are already married to Catholics, and desire to learn more about their spouses faith.

Those who begin the RCIA are not under any obligation to "convert". This is an opporunity for the person to pray over, and learn what the Catholic Church is, then over a period of time discern whether to seek admittance.

MARRIAGES

All preperations must be made at least six months before the wedding day. You must be a registered and practicing member of the church. Marriages are celebrated on Friday evenings and Saturdays only.
